Chair of the Month – June

This intricate and compelling chair, called The Nido was constructed by Estudio Persona. The inspiring design team behind the Nido is Emiliana Gonzalez, an industrial designer, and Jessie Young, a conceptual artist. Commissioned to design a high-profile actress’s home, this duo came together to launch Estudio Persona. Their furniture combines contrasting shapes and volumes, hard geometric lines and soft natural materials.  The shape of this modern lounge chair is inspired by its rounded seat, “Nido,” meaning “nest” in Spanish. The shape of this chair evokes the image of a delicate egg being perfectly cradled in its seat.

When your client begins the conversation with “we don’t want to see anything we have ever seen before,” THIS is where you take it. Maximalism was the crux of this design aesthetic; our mantra being more is always more. Inspired by just the right amount of wrong and a touch of whimsy, we incorporated a myriad of textures, materials, and wove statement pieces throughout to keep our clearly ‘design-centric’ client intrigued.

HRI has a new place to call home! We recently relocated our Colorado office from Littleton to Centennial and gave it a fresh new face. In order to keep pace with our growing team, we invested in a space with plenty of square footage. We have several executive offices, a stunning and highly functional conference room, and multiple meeting spaces. Our beautiful design studio rounds out the open space, with lots of natural lighting and an abundant open resource library to keep our creative juices flowing. We really wanted our office to reflect our brand, and show how passionate we are about unique design.  We focused on dramatic artwork and eclectic furnishings to create an environment that encourages ingenuity and inspiration.
